Both figures kneeling atop a red lacquered rectangular stand, wearing elaborated high headdresses and gilt jackets with peaked shoulders, the legs wrapped with a colorful cloth with floral decoration, one figure with the left hand resting on the left knee and the right hand touching the right feet, the other with the left hand placed on the left knee and the right arm grasping the left arm. Mandalay was the last royal capital of Myanmar (Burma).
