French Mid-Century Handmade Buffet (sideboard) with Marquetry
An extremely elegant French mid-century Louis XVI style rosewood buffet with the same elaborate handmade marquetry as the matching dining table.
This large cabinet features five doors – the two sided doors are round shaped – and three drawers above them. Interiors follow exteriors in shape and they are equipped with polished mahogany adjustable shelves. The right door opens on a bar. The five doors authentic locks, five keys and hinges. Each of the five keys is present and locks work properly.
The final touch is the colorful marble top from Italy which stands over six columns, ending with bronze-mounted feet with casters on sabots.
The buffet is in perfect condition.
There is a matching elegant French table of 71 in. that can be extended (see ref.: FT100). The French dining table has an oval rosewood table top with two large and elaborate handmade marquetry representing a flower bouquet decor with several inlays. The top is over a narrow frieze decorated with annulated and scrolled bronze banding. The tapering bronze-mounted legs with fluted design have bronze casters on sabots.
This table comes with two 19.5 in. (49.5 cm) polished mahogany leaves and extends to 110 in. (279 cm) in total. Table without the leaves measures 71 in. (183 cm).
